PoohsDen

I read about this in one of the many blogs I lurk around – Baby Olympics. It was the time I was pregnant and I shared the article with R with vows we will not fall into the rut.

A few days back, I was thumbing through my copy of “What to Expect – the First year”. I did a quick glance at the 5 and 6 month chapters where we are right now and I had extra few minutes to take a glance beyond the 6th month mark and I reached upon a section which read “How to identify exceptionally gifted babies”. I read it the first couple of paragraphs and subconsciously tried to make connection with my lil girl and then suddenly I realized what I was doing and stopped.

Why are we pressuring ourselves and our little ones who are barely eating table food? Why do we need a gifted children section in a book meant for babies below the age of 1? Why are they forcing over-excited parents like me to read and look for signs?
