Memory Box

I have wanted to create a shadow/memory box to save some of those knick-knacks of kuttyma I have collected over the months and I saw this piece of Styrofoam that came as a part of a package. It was ideal for what I had in mind.

Materials needed

Styrofoam/thermocol to create the box – a sheet and thin strips to create the edges

Ribbons

Tissue paper

Items to put in the memory box

Glue

Cellotape

Plastic wrap to cover the box

Use ribbons to cover the edges of the box. Remember to fray the edges of the ribbons (I use heat to fray the edges). Use tissue paper and line the box. Arrange the items as you please and tape them. I placed a newborn picture of my little girl, the tags she had on her hands and feet in the hospital, her first bangles and her first pacifier. I also added some stickers to fill some space. Once you are done cover the box with plastic wrap and then add ribbons to make a hanger.

Your memory box is ready – get framing!
