Uniforms were boring. I always waited for Wednesdays to bring out the colours. (It was colour dress Fridays at BPGHSS). It is surprising how something trivial as dress stays in my mind after all these years. I guess it was the fun part of planning for Wednesdays, dreaming about it, dressing up. Wednesdays post-Deepavali were grand affairs. The latest fashions (Trichy fashion standards were rather pathetic) were paraded. It has stayed in mind forever.
