It is something I go to when I am down and need to cheer up. When the weather cools down there is nothing that warms me up better than spicy, coconuty goodness. Good Thai food with the right balance of flavors does always find a way to cheer me up. We decided to try Phimphan’s Thai – one of Gladstone’s two Thai restaurants one Friday evening. We were quite early and the only dine-in patrons for quite some time. Takeaway orders seemed to keep the place busy. Inspite of its rather insipid exteriors, Phim Phan interiors were good – the ambiance was great. It was place you could gather for conversations over bowls of curry. In fact, the other group that occupied a table while we were there was a group of friends planning a wedding or something like that. We ordered the Tom Kha Gai soup, Satay, Green Curry and Pad Thai.
