Different people at different times define travel differently and their definitions decide where they go, what they see and how they go about it. When I plan a vacation with my parents it is always about relationships. It is about the bonds that bind us. It is about the new ties we form amongst ourselves. It is seeing us relax together, discover ourselves and go beyond the boundaries of the relationship definitions. I love watching my daughter become a friend to my mother, my brother become the “big bad bully” and my father change to a student in front of my daughter. I love knowing wherever we go and whatever we do we will be there. I keep these in mind when I think about vacations together. Last August, we spent 4 wonderful days in Bangkok building these bonds. By default, planning a vacation falls in my domain and I sifted through the numerous pages on the internet filtering and debating what we should do in Bangkok.
