I haven’t had a vacation in nearly 6 months and with Move 3 around the corner, I have been constantly dreaming of places to discover once I move. But most books lie half-read. I still haven’t got back my reading mojo. Sigh The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt I am still trying to wrap my head around this book. It was a monstrous read but a fun one too. Young Theo Decker connected with me but then I felt myself unable to relate to the older Theo. The story set in the art world was almost unreal. I think I would have liked this book more if it were a bit shorter and crisper. Etta and Otto and Russell and James by Emma Hooper Etta is 82 years old and leaves home to sea the sea. She walks along Canada and Hooper brings Canada to life. I loved how the story weaved between the past and the present. Etta definitely remained an inspiration. Seeking what your heart desires is what life is all about and this book is a subtle reminder of the same. A fun read. Still Life with Bread […]"}
