Like many, I have always found myself calming down by the water. There is something about the sound of waves and the beauty of shades of blue. In fact, I am sure I have written a few times about being by the seas on my blog. (I am too lazy to search and get links back to my brilliant posts from the past.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The few days I spent at Pensacola Beach, Florida over Christmas and New Year 2020, will remain a favorite. Off-season along the Florida coast was the social distanced getaway I needed to reset some of the havoc 2020 unleashed on me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
2020 took its toll on my mental health. I think I was successful than many but I too had my moments. I couldn’t handle the pressures, the risks, the stress and the uncertainty. My perfection seeking soul couldn’t accept it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
By the jade green waters of Pensacola beach, I could feel some of the demands I make from myself get away. Some – not all. Listening to the waves, I made peace with some of the broken pieces of me. I made promises to myself and let my whispered whimpers intermingle with the broken shells and sand dollars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The waves and the surf brought in a renewed sense of purpose and hope. I started to find the energy to pull myself together. For another revolution around the sun. Another 365 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I find inspiration and renewal by the waters. I just need to remind myself that I should not wait till the end of the year to seek renewal. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
