<\/p>\nAfter my last review, you probably realized that I am not too great in book reviews. I am no book critic to look into a book objectively and talk about it. I write what I feel about the book and often some of the talked-about books do not sit well with me. This book is pick from the NPR’s best books of 2010.<\/p>\n

Set in Brooklyn, the book portrays and brings to life the small shops that crowd the Jewish neighborhood there. Very visual and something you can easily see dancing before your eyes even though you have never been to New York. One of these small shops where Sima sells undergarments for women. The book is about relationships and what we get out of them – the relationship between Sima – the older, childless woman with a retired husband and Timna – an extremely beautiful Israeli woman waiting for her boyfriend to get out of army. They are different – day and night. Their worlds are different. But in the small basement shop they get something out of each other – something that will help them move along life a wee bit easier.<\/p>\n
