I can pretty much sleep whenever I want to &#8211; a book, a good bed and I am good! But my daughter at the age of 22 months requires less sleep than I do to function. We have had some great bed time battles.<\/p>\n<p>Usually as I tell her to sleep, she lies down and then she realizes she has to read. Just like I do. So out of bed to grab a book. Wide-eyed she sits and reads in bed. She is yet to master the fine art of lying down and reading (she does not know what she is missing &#8211; reading in the bed =bliss) And then I <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">ask<\/span> command her to lie down. She does and is still wide-eyed. The tiniest hint of drowsiness slowly hits her (and I literally hold my breath) and she starts blinking her eyes vigorously. I tell you, she has a great future as a shy heroine in the movies. She blinks and blinks and has it cute damsel in distress look. I am half asleep by now and I ask her to close her eyes and sleep. She blinks and I <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">tell her<\/span> scream at her &#8220;close your eyes&#8221;. She takes those tiny fingers and presses them tightly against her eyes. Really tight that I feel uncomfortable.
