I am sure you have been told never to judge anyone without being in their shoes because you never know how difficult their lives are. I have been told that and I firmly believe it. On the surface, the grass does seem greener on the other side but this post is not about that.<\/p>\n
It was a crazy Thursday morning – things were spiraling out off control. At 7am driving towards daycare, I was feeling like I had been slaying dragons all night long. It was not supposed to be that way. Given a chance, I would have run away but then that never solves anything.<\/p>\n
7.15 am – I finally caught I-10 – my magic carpet – taking me towards work and I was having a mini-pity party in the car. Even my favorite songs on the playlist blasting a few decibels more than the norm were not helping me.<\/p>\n
I saw them – 2 cops flying past me in their motorbikes and that instant I wanted to be in their shoes. Feeling the hot, humid air on my face as I zipped to be the super-hero.<\/p>\n
Thinking back, I can never do what they do and I would hate it. But for an instant I wanted to be them. Put away my life and step into someone else’s shoes.<\/p>\n
