They are different worlds – Houston and Singapore. I am transitioning and often see the differences, whine or grumble or smile. But it is rare that I see the similarities. There are similarities (and by that I do not mean restaurants called Margaritas or condos called Gramercy)<\/p>\n

The thunderstorms remain the same. Singapore thunderstorms are more frequent than their Houston counterparts but they are the same. The black clouds, the rolling thunder, the suddenness, the sheet of rain, the humidity afterwards and the lack of visibility.<\/p>\n

The feeling thunderstorms bring in me are also the same – all I want to do is curl up with a good book beside the window with a good cup of tea. And guess what this new house (yes even after 3 months I call it house – it is not yet home) has a nice window seat.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
