I am still not sure what the author meant to convey. It is about Mohan &#8211; a letter writer, his nephew Ashish who spends a year at Saraswathi Park. It is a book about life in Bombay seen from the eyes of different people. It was a nice book to read but as I mentioned earlier I really was not sure what I got out of it.<\/p>\n<p>The Truth about Forever &#8211; Sarah Dessen<\/p>\n<p>I was expecting another &#8220;If I stay&#8221; but it was not. An young adult novel about young love, perfection and losing a parent.<\/p>\n<p>Difficult Daughters &#8211; Manju Kapur<\/p>\n<p>Ida travels back to discover the story of her mother &#8211; Viru &#8211; the second wife of a professor. She learns the story of her mother and her grandmother &#8211; both difficult daughters and hopes her mother will stop haunting her at the end.<\/p>\n<p>I will not say I loved this book or the narration. I am quite sure I will not pick up another Manju Kapur book. It is just not my style of story telling. I am sure there are many who will love her books.<\/p>\n<p>The Blind Assasin &#8211; Margret Atwood<\/p>\n<p>The backflap of the book describes Atwood&#8217;s stories &#8220;unpredictable&#8221;. I agree with it. I admit I form opinions and develop the storyline in my head based on the few words in the backflap and the first few chapters. The book is something totally different from what I imagined. It is a book within a book. A wonderful story.<\/p>\n<p>It is a huge book but worth a read.<\/p>\n<p>Animal Farm &#8211; George Orwell<\/p>\n<p>A classic &#8211; simplicity at its best. Obviously the intended message was there but the book somehow brings to life a kid&#8217;s version of life on a farm. The book was actually titled &#8220;Animal farm: A fairy tale&#8221; and I totally think the title suits the book.
