– The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Ann Shaffer<\/p>\n
I hate war stories and for a good reason. This is a post-war story and if there was one thing I really did not like about the book for the love story – the one literally forced at the end. A wonderful book. Do pick it up if you are a book lover.<\/p>\n
– The Buddha in the Attic by Julie Otsuka<\/p>\n
What a book! It is one of those rare books with no well-defined protogonist. The Japanese brides-to-be seeking a better life make a trip to the land where dreams come true – to the US. They tell the story, their lives, the war and more. Beautiful, touching and a gem<\/p>\n
Nine Lives – William Dalrymple<\/p>\n
Not ficition but a selection of short essays on religion in modern India. An eye-opener.<\/p>\n
