The past few weeks have seen me catch up with my past. Friends from my college days stopped over for a quick catchup. It was super fun. Revisiting the past and watching it mingle with the present is a blessing. We watched our kids play together and we spoke about milestones and fussy eaters. We laughed when we thought about the irresponsible past.<\/p>\n
But this post is not about old friends playing catchup. It is about imaginations and reality.<\/p>\n
When in college, we dream of the future – well atleast I did. I imagined my friends in future. Not gray haired or with paunches. Just a few years down the lane and how they will be. It was more of a fantasy and something I really did not share with anyone.<\/p>\n
I met someone from my imagination a few days back. He was in the gym, lifting weights and every few minutes checking his hair on the wall-to-wall mirrors. It was d\u00e9j\u00e0 vu – I knew this person. He was a stranger in real life but he was exactly how I imagined X would be 8-10 years after college.<\/p>\n
The funny thing is I met X last year and he really does not fit into the box I created and labeled for him. But still it was interesting the meet my imagination in flesh.<\/p>\n
