A must visit if you are a museum aficionado. The special exhibits when I visited were the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.acm.org.sg\/exhibitions\/eventdetail.asp?eventID=849\">Salak Yom: Trees of gift from Thailand <\/a>and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.acm.org.sg\/exhibitions\/eventdetail.asp?eventID=826\">Enlighted Ways: The many streams of Buddhist art in Thailand<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I absolutely adored the Salak Yim exhibit and tradition. Young girls decorate trees (bamboo pole) with their handicrafts and gifts for Buddhist monks. It was amazingly creative, inspiring and beautiful.<\/p>\n<p>I want to go there again and soak it all in. There are great video and audio stories\/interviews to support the exhibits. The Singapore history section captures the city perfectly. I wish they were more kid-friendly. That is my only gripe.
