It is no secret that I love being connected to the world via the internet. It is my source to all information and misinformation. If I need information about a place I am going to google it, check the website and then read some reviews (I prefer personal blogs for reviews but the big review sites work too) or hit up with locals who live in the area on twitter.<\/p>\n

Gladstone stumbled me. It is really not a connected place. Most businesses here do not have website and many of them do not have reviews done by bloggers. Not many local Gladstone residents are on twitter (or maybe I just could not track them down) Well that is about to change – I am going to be writing about local business, local places to visit and fun.<\/p>\n

I know many of my readers are not from Gladstone but I hope this blog will help someone along the way. Spotlight Gladstone will bring focus on local happenings, places, people and more. It will stray a bit and include parts of Boyne Island and Tannum Sands (and anywhere else in the Capricorn Coast region) as I find my feet in this locality.<\/p>\n
