The blurb I read had me intrigued. It seemed very real and interesting. I decided it would be something I would enjoy reading.<\/p>\n<p>The book starts in 2030 with business woman Naazani Singh Shekhawat being pursued by media\u00a0. I was hooked. As I continued reading, the story began to lead down to the past &#8211; the early years of Naazani is one of neglect and then she discovers the internet. This was when the alarm bells started ringing in my mind.<\/p>\n<p>I pursued along and read about the transition of Naazani to Nazaqat &#8211; a prostitute with the help of an manager Sharat. I liked how Nazaqat&#8217;s character has been described here. She was a no-nonsense professional. She did what she wanted and she didn&#8217;t bother to explain to others. Why would such a strong woman depend on Sharat to take a stand about prostitution was a eyebrow raiser?<\/p>\n<p>The plot started collapsing around this place. While I do understand what the author was aiming at I just couldn&#8217;t get over the confused Naazani\/Nazaqat. She was all over the place. Something like &#8220;When she was good, she was very good and when she was bad, she was very bad&#8221;. I sensed something sinister when the story begun and the book does have some sinister rather interesting bits.<\/p>\n<p>The book could do with some serious editing. Typos are a major eyesore in any book. It threw me off. I would have abandoned the book if not for the story. The other thing the book needed was a different structure. The Bollywood inspired story structure doesn&#8217;t translate well in a book in my opinion.<\/p>\n<p>A good read with enormous potential to have been a great read.
