2009 takes the award for being the toughest and happiest year in my life. And now that we are wrapping up the year I cannot really say if it was a great year or a mediocre one. Different parts of the year were different with Feb-Aug taking the cake for being the hardest. I really cannot believe the speed in which the latter part of the year flew (especially since September). This year was the first time in nearly a decade when I spent so much time with my family. Here is a recap of the past 12 months.<\/p>\n
January – we got back from our Ecuador trip – tanned and happy. We realized we are expecting Baby I and it doubled out happiness. I quit my job (a decision I do not regret in my saner moments)<\/p>\n
February – I made a trip to India. It was the best decision I made. Who else could force-fed me, cheer me and give me support during those hormonal and moody phase?<\/p>\n
February made way to March, April, May, June and I was still crabby and moody. A delayed trip to Houston and lots of scares later we finally hit the 34 week mark in mid-August. The waiting game begun. The little one took her own sweet time, driving me crazy and in turn me driving everyone around me crazy. This period was a real lean period in my blog. I rarely gathered the momentum and enthusiasm to blog and keep in touch with the blog world.<\/p>\n
September changed my life forever. And the past 4 months have been all about my little one. I have always thought I will not blog much about my baby but it is inevitable. Everything I see and do revolve around her. As we wrap up this year, I will always remember 2009 as a year that was everything I wanted but nothing I expected.<\/p>\n
I hope 2010 has more saner moments, family moments and tons of laughter for us. And for you – yes you who occasionally drops in by my blog best wishes – may this year bring in all you want and may your heart fill with happiness and peace!<\/p>\n
