A weekend to remember

Who says no to Goa? Goa during the monsoons – check. Goa with friends and to make friends – check. Beach – check. Resort – check. Everything checks out perfectly this weekend. Everything falls into place like a perfect jigsaw puzzle – you don’t try too hard to squish the pieces together and complete the picture (and that’s the mother of a 4 year old speaking).

Zest up your Life organized by Blogadda and TATA Motors at the Zuri White Sands, Goa flew in 50 bloggers from around the country to welcome, celebrate and learn more about their new baby – Tata Zest (my review of the car can be read here). The team from TATA Motors were a passionate lot – a lot like new mothers and fathers. It was a great experience listening to them talk about their baby – the ideas that flooded them, their design philosophy, the struggles between the design team and the engineering team, the quest to make the Zest the best. I loved the glow on the faces as they spoke about the Zest’s exterior DNA – the Humanity Line, Diamond DLO and Slingshot Line aimed at designing a car with a sense of humanity, friendliness, dynamism, poise and purpose – quite similar to many of the bloggers I met this weekend.

The Masterclass conducted by the experts changed the way I look at a car’s design. The interactive Design Lab set up made me wish I had paid attention in those dusty mechanical engineering classes from another lifetime. The artistry and the artists who brought the car to life made me wish I was an artist and not an engineer. The weekend made me wish for a lot of things.

Definitely the highlight of the weekend was listening to Narin Karthikeyan – that man is passionate. He obviously knows engines and racing but it is his passion for the sport and the art that stood out.

The Zuri White Sands hotel spread out the red carpet (or rather the white sands) to welcome us. The rooms were beautifully appointed, the blues as blue as they come, the staff as friendlier as they can be catering to all our needs. I fell in love with the shell themed decor around the resort. The beautifully manicured grounds with Birds of Paradise at every corner made me wish I had a bench and a book. The place screams vacation.

Team BlogAdda take a bow! You were awesome – no one ever had a concern that was not met. Hats Off !
