Short edition this week as I am indulging in the comfort of food and friends.

1) I think this is one of the much needed ways to save energy – street lights that turn off when there is no activity. Think of all those parking lots brightly lit and the energy required to keep them that way. This is one project that I wish that will spread around the world [via Smithsonian]

2) I cannot get over the creativity and thought process that results in such amazing doodles [via Twisted Sifter]
