Gardens by the Bay

I have no clue why locals think this place is not worth a visit. I love it. After my visit a few weeks back I wish I had gone there more often. If you are in Singapore and love plants and flowers or just a good stroll in the park or curious about making parks sustainable. They open at 5am and I wish I knew that before. I could have gone a bit earlier and explored more. Oh well there is always the next time.

Anyone knows what kind of flowers these are? They looked beautiful

I cannot wait to picnic in the gardens - hopefully we will get to it soon

The dome and the trees - it was a beautiful day for a visit

Views of the Marina Bay Sands from the Cloud Dome - awesomeness right?

The cloud dome left me with memories of my trip to Ecuador cloud forests – man-made wonder is a good way to describe the Gardens by the Bay. I leave you with some pictures of the super cool Gardens by the Bay – very highly recommended by Poohsden (psst! It is much better than walking through Orchard Street – believe me)

Pitcher plant - I had a grand time explaining how it works to kuttyma

I have a love affair with orchids - they are not perfect but unique just like people

Did I mention the cool driftwood structures and wood carvings found around the park? They are all awesome works of art

The super tree - my 3 year old calls it a donut tree. There is also a skywalk connecting a few trees - we have not tried that one yet.
