I love Halloween and I love it for one reason – dress up. I love to think about costumes and put them together. Unfortunately this year, there is nothing akin to the usual Halloween celebrations in Gladstone.

The stores have stocked up on candy and other scary decor but there is really nothing like a pumpkin patch or trick-or-treat happening. Even kuttyma’s school does not seem to have a “dress-up day”

But we did not let that deter us. Kuttyma and I decided her costume for the year and crafted it. We kept the food theme from last year going and made her a slice of pizza.

It was such a fun craft to do with kuttyma and also simple enough for her to help. We had a grand time deciding what topping we would like – we settled on cheese, spinach, pineapple and tomatoes. The costume looked good enough to eat.
