Saturday Edition

It is October – another 2 months and then I have to make plans for 2011. It is difficult to wrap my head around the fact that we are at the last few months of 2010. With holiday season starting up, the days and weeks will literally run. The weather has started cooling down, the days are shorter and I am *NOT* ready. My plans 2010 are not moving the way I like them – well to be honest it has moved better than I thought it would and I need to remember I am first a mother and then me. Here is this week’s update

Blog more often – Do I pass?

Lose the baby weight – Getting there is tough – really tough. A few of you might know that I had serious issues gaining weight during my pregnancy and every pound around my waist was forced down my throat in the form of thick milkshakes with whipped cream and butter. As yummy as it sounds now, let me tell you it was torture drinking it at that point of time. I am paying the price for it today. Gaining was hard, losing is harder.

Bake More – A yummy oatmeal apple crisp for breakfast and some carrot cupcakes came out of my oven this week

Keep kuttyma’s baby journal updated – Phew! finally I can say yes

Finish my handicraft projects – I have not done much craft work mainly because my fitness regime leaves me exhausted and add in a always-on-the-move toddler I literally collapse into bed every night (only to be woken up every couple of hours).

Orbis Terrarum Challenge – I am now not sure if I can finish the challenge on-time. As I mentioned above, I am exhausted and I find myself unable to lose myself in a book – especially the kind I have chosen for the challenge. I read a couple of pages and realize I do not remember what I read. I was even able to read when I had sleepless nights but exhausted I cannot read (See I discover myself through my plans). But I do hope I can finish the challenge. Midnight’s Children is waiting for me to open its pages.

Geography facts – I read 2 facts does it count? I guess so.

Garden Update – Now that Fall is almost here, I cleaned up my patio garden a bit. Said goodbye to the tomatoes, trimmed my spinach and froze tons of fresh basil for the cold months. I *might* buy some flowering fall plants but honestly I cannot find the energy to drag myself to a nursery.

Till next week
