Weatherman on the TV

I was catching up my local TV station news last evening and our weatherman mentioned that he signed a lot of autographs that day and spoke to fans who said he was great at some event at the City Hall. This really got me thinking. When did people line up behind weathermen to get their autographs? What do you do with it? Frame it and display it? Sleep with it under your pillow so that the thunderstorm would not scare you?or maybe it is on magic ink that turns pink as the humidity rises.

I understand that the weatherman is highly educated and can work with radar and other data to predict the weather and most times do a pretty decent job out of it but when did the weatherman become a rock star?

Well at this rate, the day when the weather reporter on Sun TV will be person whom you should get the autograph from – just coz she sing-songs the weather report.

I totally agree about actors/actresses autographs too. I personally do not collect them but what makes people want them? Atleast with cine personalities and sports personalities I understand the draw – well kind of but a weatherman on TV gosh!
